Tahoe
I wasn’t expecting much when I started my trip with a Reno layover to be honest.
So I was lucky when two of the flight attendants I was working with invited me to join in on their plans. I’d worked with both of them before and they’re around my age and fun so I was grateful to be invited.
One of them had rented a car and they planned to drive up to Lake Tahoe. From where we stay in Reno it’s just a little over an hour drive to get there. It’s a stunning drive and with blaring good music it made it even better.
First we grabbed lunch at a lakeside restaurant with a panoramic view of the lake. I can’t say I remember the name of where we stopped but we got exactly what we were looking for. A view of the lake and the chance to sit outside.
Next stop was to my somewhat surprise a nude beach called Secret Cove. Secret it was, to get to the beach we had to walk through the woods without a trail. It was worth it.
The water was so clear I felt wild enough to jump off a low cliff.
I can’t say I participated in the whole nude beach thing but going down to that beach offered the most lovely view of the day.
